I found the lens correction function and turned it off even though there is no lcp file (clicked lens profile = none, or clicked lcp file, and there isn't one). Other stuff depends on the scene and on the exact amount of distortion the lens has. For flower pictures, it usually makes sense to turn it off. And you can uncheck the distortion (of course).įor architecture and things like portrait shots of a door frame, it makes sense to keep it on. You can also let it take lens correction from JPEG preview (if applied there). It is done by default in Raw Therapee according to lens profile (that is autodetected by default if there is an lcp file for your camera/lens). I don't think it is being done in Raw Therapee. I think it might be happening, and overall image quality might be slightly better if lens distortion is not corrected. Is it possible to turn off lens distortion compensation in the Silkypix Developer Studio 8 SE raw developer? I searched for a box to check or un-check, and did not find one. Silkypix is not using GPU, i asked their support, i have i7 4700 + 8 GB RAM + intel 256 SSD and it is slow for fujifilm x-t10 raw files (32MB). What am I doing wroing? This can NOT be right Tried the fast option in the settings but it made the preview almost unviewable and it is still slow. What is wrong with the performance? It is so painyfully slow it does not react. We all know how many new cameras and lenses are already announced or/and will be available in 2019. Have you contacted ISL support? They probably can fix it via minor updates. Have you contacted ISL support? They probably can fix it via minor updates. We all know how many new cameras and lenses are already announced or/and will be available in 2019. Many other new releases of 2018 do not allow it. What is definitely good and very important for me (thanks again ISL!): I can specify the installation path (I am on Win). So still trying to simplify my wofkflow and use the only raw conversion software, keeping also in mind the already announced C1 price increase. However, the free C1 for Sony, naturally, does not like all the other cameras, and DxO OP 11 does not support Fuji X30 and my old Oly E-500. I do not use high ISO very often, so fully trust on your NR experience. My Sony A6500, i think Silkypix color not as good as c1 which is free for sony Also tried with my older Oly M5 (ORF) archive. That color has some weird color shift for Panasonic camera in version 8, better use Panasonic camera color that can be selected in program I think it use the same Silkypix color for all camera Last time have mix feeling towards it but maybe i don't know it well So, I shan't be buying this, even though I quite like some of the new 'Auto' features and Noise Reduction capabilities which produce some nice results from my. I then had to do a reinstall/rebuild of Silkypix to restore the missing original options. Whilst triggering a new database rebuild prompt on opening up Silkypix 9 Pro (Trial), unfortunately not only results in there being no listing of the new profile, it also removed the original profile listing for the Coolpix 7000 and compatible as well as a bunch of other 'E' fixed lenses too. However, and perhaps unsurprisingly, downloading the new database from Lensfun and swapping over the relevant XML file doesn't work either. There is a newer database version 0.3.95 released in June this year, and which incorporates profiles for my camera (Nikon Coolpix P7800). It's a shame they are still seemingly using Lensfun's last lens profiles database version 0.3.2 released in November 2015. the big one for me is being able to send an image or images directly to another editing program.ġ.5 years since last version, hope is a big upgrade At last, shadows and highlights can be adjusted independently and be used in conjunction with the HDR tool.Ĥ.
